Lamarck's Angelfish, also called the Freckletail Lyretail Angelfish, is sexually dimorphic; both sexes are silvery-gray with horizontal black stripes from eye to caudal fin, the female's stripes bolder with one extending the length of the caudal fin, and both have a freckled black caudal fin. More easily kept than some angelfish, it requires a well-maintained tank of at least 125 gallons and may chase small docile planktivores like Anthias and Fairy Wrasses but usually ignores other fish; keep only one male per tank; feed Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and mysis or frozen shrimp.
