The Koran Angelfish, also called the Semicircular or Halfcircled Angelfish, is an extremely popular and hardy angelfish; juveniles are black with white and blue stripes, while adults are yellow-green bleeding from light to dark front to back with speckled-blue lighter areas, yellow-speckled darker areas, and sapphire-blue gill margins, eye rings, and fin outlines. It requires a 250 gallon or larger tank with large amounts of live rock for hiding and grazing on slime algae and cyanobacteria; it nips at stony and soft corals and clam mantles, so it is not a good reef candidate; feed Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and mysis or frozen shrimp at least three times daily.
