The Cubicus Boxfish (Ostracion cubicus), also called the Yellow, Polka Dot, or Cube Boxfish, has a yellow box-shaped juvenile body with brown spots that fades to brown as an adult. It is very difficult to keep, needing expert care, a minimum 475-liter tank, and releases lethal ostracitoxin when stressed; use caution in reef tanks as it nibbles tubeworms, and feed live brine shrimp initially then squid, clams, mussels, and herbivore preparations.
