Colin's Angelfish originates from Indonesia in the Western Pacific as well as Fiji in the South Pacific; this rare deepwater fish is a beautiful yellow with a distinctive blue back and dorsal fin, suited to the experienced marine fish collector's display. It requires a 70 gallon or larger aquarium with hiding places and large amounts of live rock to graze on microalgae growth; it prefers a dimly lit aquarium but adapts to brighter modern reef lighting; use caution in SPS aquariums dominated by frags as it may nip at SPS corals; it should be the only dwarf angelfish in the display and is best added before larger, more active fishes as it can be reclusive and shy initially; feed Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items.
