The Black Clown Goby is common within Indo Pacific reefs among soft and hard coral colonies; a small stocky fish with a very large head, black in color, peaceful and enjoying swimming and hiding amongst polyp colonies, though it may nip at SPS coral polyps. It needs a 10-gallon or larger aquarium and will fight its own kind in smaller aquariums, though a group introduced together may form mated pairs if branching coral is present; keep with other docile species and feed brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, table shrimp, and frozen carnivore preparations.
