The Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse, also known as the Carpenter's Wrasse or Redfin Flasher Wrasse, is orange with blue vertical stripes as a juvenile and becomes yellow with broken blue horizontal stripes as an adult; the red dorsal fin features three elongated rays accented with yellows and blues, and adult males intensify in color during courtship. It needs a 55-gallon or larger aquarium with a tight-fitting lid since it is a jumper; a grouping is recommended with females introduced first, it should be the first species introduced as it is often harassed by others, keep it with peaceful tankmates, and feed vitamin-enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, other meaty foods, and high-quality marine flake and pellet food.
