The Black Storm Clownfish derives its lineage from a mutation that appeared during selective breeding of the Mocha Vinci Clownfish; it shows an exaggerated white body pattern with an almost entirely white face, retaining the prominent white swirl and curve storm pattern, with juvenile spots transitioning from dark orange to jet black as they mature. It does best in at least a 20-gallon aquarium with plenty of live rock and may form a symbiotic relationship with Carpet, Sebae, Bulb, or Ritteri anemones, though an anemone is not required; as omnivores they readily accept high-quality marine flake rich in spirulina plus freeze-dried and frozen foods.
