The Black Angler is jet black with several white markings such as on the fins, able to change the tone of its coloration to blend with the environment over time. It needs large amounts of live rock in a 30-gallon or larger aquarium, and since these fish are very inactive, 30 gallons suffices for a fully grown specimen; use live feeder shrimp to entice it to eat, and note it may swallow prey its own size lured by its esca, accepting most meaty meals including feeder fish.
