The Bali Lunate Anthias is an uncommon deepwater Anthias rarely seen in the aquarium trade, gorgeously colored in shades of rosy-pinks and reds intermingled with veins of golden yellow, distinguished by a namesake lunate (moon shaped) caudal fin and slightly more pronounced pointed pelvic and anal fins. Collected from up to 196 feet deep, it prefers low to moderate lighting initially and can be difficult to acclimate; introduce before more active, territorial fishes, keep singly or best in small shoals, and feed frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, and flake foods in small quantities throughout the day.
