No real update, just been enjoying it. The montipora and favia have both filled out a good bit on the rock, gramma's got its routine down and the cleaner shrimp is always out picking at something. Didn't do anything special this week, just wanted to actually sit and look at it for once instead of working on it.
Note
quiet week, nothing to report
Life's been busy so the tank basically ran itself this week, just topped off water and threw some food in. Haven't even looked at params in a few days honestly. Nothing bad happening, just not much happening period.
Note
first fish in the tank
Made the trip to the LFS today not really planning to buy anything and came home with a royal gramma lol. Bag's floating at the surface in the photo, letting it acclimate slow. Only a couple small frags on the rock so far, mostly bare rock still, but feels like a real turning point having something actually swimming in there.

Note
diatoms showing up already
Noticed a brownish film starting on some of the rock and the sand bed the last couple days, classic diatom bloom I think. Kind of expected it this early in the cycle. No test kit drama, just watching it for now, curious how long this phase sticks around.
Note
water's in, heater set
Topped her off today and got the fluval 307 running. Set the heater to 78f for now, figure I'll fine tune once I see how it holds overnight. Water's a little hazy still from the sand settling, rock's got that fresh white look. Nothing living in there yet, just letting everything run and mix.

Note
leveling the stand before anything else
Spent most of today just making sure the stand and tank were actually level before committing to the rock layout. Put a level on it in like 4 different spots (glad I checked, one corner was slightly off). Rock is dry stacked for now, no sand wet yet, just want to live with the layout for a day or two before I glue anything.
